GRADER TICKET COURSE OVERVIEW

This unit describes a participant’s skills and knowledge required to conduct civil construction grader operations in civil construction. This unit is appropriate for those working in operational roles. Licensing, legislative, regulatory and certification requirements that apply to this unit can vary between states, territories, and Industry sectors. Relevant information must be sourced prior to application of the unit.

Our point of difference here at Diggerman Training is that we are also a large earthmoving company, which operates all over Queensland.

This means that we are part of the industry, in touch with its needs and trends.

Our extremely experienced trainers maintain their industry currency by also being part of the operational earthmoving teams.

They will use this knowledge to train you to the highest standard.

Persons who are working in, or intend to work in the building, road maintenance, mining and/or construction industries operating a grader to perform various tasks.

There are no prerequisites for this course.

Diggerman Training offers different grader courses tailored to suit different students needs based on experience and other factors such as time, having access to your own machine and/or to allow students the maximum amount of practical time on the machine.

Students will learn to operate a roller in a safe and efficient manner. The course will include the following:

  • Plan and prepare for grader operations
  • Operate grader
  • Select, remove and fit attachments
  • Relocate the grader
  • Carry out machine operator maintenance
  • Conduct housekeeping activities

Your training will be divided up into two parts firstly theory and once that is completed a practical section. After being taught both how to operate the grader correctly and all the required theoretical knowledge you will be tested on both areas.

Upon successful completion of the unit a Statement of Attainment will be issued. Participants will receive a wallet card consisting of one (1) nationally recognised unit of competency.

Long Sleeve Hi-Visibility Shirt (or Long Sleeve Shirt with a Hi-Visibility Vest), Long Pants, Steel Cap Safety Boots, Hard Hat (Optional), Safety Glasses (Optional).

Training is conducted at our main office (13 Junction Drive Coolum, Queensland 4573).

Very highly recommend using these guys for licensing and voe. Easy to talk to and ask questions very knowledgeable, there experience will show within minutes can teach anyone to do anything. It's not all serious will have a laugh throughout the course/s. Highly maintained gear clean facilities and smoko van on the practical day aswel as a coffee van for that pick me up. No pressure in how fast you learn it's all at your own pace. If your looking for tickets these guys are second to none.

The forklift course is delivered over 3 days, and has a good mix of theory vs. practical. All materials provided for theory are easy to understand and well formatted for your success in completion. I spent 18+years in hospitality and wanted a caarer change and decided to get into civil construction. I went to Diggerman to do my traffic control course. With much help and support I got my licence and got a job traffic controlling. While doing my licence, Fingers (my tutor) encouraged me to get my heavy wheels and rollers ticket. I returned a few months later and got my rollers ticket. While doing my Rollers ticket again Fingers and Graham encouraged me to get my Haul truck and front end loader ticket. In Which I did. I also got water cart ticket and more with there encouragement, Plus my level 2 traffic control licence. I am so thankful to Diggerman and all there team for all the help, support and encouragement that they gave me as I am now working on one of the biggest construction sites on the sunshine coast with a great company driving haul trucks, Rollers etc absolutely loving it.
