COURSE OVERVIEW
This unit describes a participant’s skills and knowledge required to work safely at heights in the Resources and Infrastructure Industries.
This unit it appropriate for those working in operational roles where they are required to perform work at heights.
Our point of difference here at Diggerman Training is that we are also a large earthmoving company, which operates all over Queensland.
This means that we are part of the industry, in touch with its needs and trends.
Our extremely experienced trainers maintain their industry currency by also being part of the operational earthmoving teams.
They will use this knowledge to train you to the highest standard.
This unit specifies the competency required to undertake safe working practices when working at heights or depths.
This unit is appropriate for those working in operational roles, at worksites within:
- Civil construction
- Coal mining
- Drilling
- Extractive industries
- Metalliferous mining
There are no prerequisites for this course.
This course is approximately one day in duration.
Students will learn to work at heights in a safe and efficient manner. The course will include the following:
- Identify work requirements
- Identify work procedures and instructions
- Access and install equipment
- Perform working at heights
- Clean up work area
Your training will be divided up into two parts firstly theory and once that is completed a practical section.
Upon successful completion of the unit a Statement of Attainment will be issued. Participants will receive a wallet card consisting of one (1) nationally recognised unit of competency.

Long Sleeve Hi-Visibility Shirt (or Long Sleeve Shirt with a Hi-Visibility Vest), Long Pants, Steel Cap Safety Boots, Hard Hat (Optional), Safety Glasses (Optional).
Training is conducted at either our main office (13 Junction Drive Coolum, Queensland 4573) or at our off-site large practical training area near Bli Bli.
