Spent my early years in employment as a customs clearing clerk, gave me an insight as to how government departments work. Apprentice mechanic and into the transport sector as a operations manager for a fuel company. This introduced me to fleet control and distribution centre management. In the transport sector I have been employee, employer, subcontractor ,contractor to some large commercial entities. I spent a lot of time on the road driving heavy vehicles, plant and equipment up to road trains . I started training about fifteen years ago in heavy vehicles, forklift and machinery. When training I like to explain how or why something works, focusing on safe operation the only way to become a good old driver, is to learn how to be a good young driver.
